Growing up in Southeast Washington, D.C., amid high crime and poverty, I faced challenges that could have defined my future. Yet, I rose above those odds to become the first in my family to earn both college and graduate degrees. While my family envisioned me continuing their mortuary science legacy, I found my true calling in counseling, leading me to a fulfilling path aligned with my values.
For nearly 30 years, I’ve dedicated my life to helping the vulnerable—children and adults with special needs, individuals in the criminal justice system, and those battling mental health and substance abuse issues. These experiences have deepened my understanding of human struggles and allowed me to connect with those often overlooked.
I believe societal measures of success can be flawed, but I find purpose in helping others unlock their potential. As a father and husband, I've also navigated the challenges of balancing work and family, learning valuable lessons about self-care along the way.
I encourage you to take the first step toward support. Together, we can overcome obstacles. My story is one of resilience and transformation, and I’m ready to walk alongside you, believing that every step can lead to meaningful change.
